The Tarifa Surf Club is a VDWS school run by Mark and Simone Uellendahl. Never more than two students per instructor, gear and wetsuit included, and on days with offshore wind the rescue boat is part of the course. Which beach and which hour: the school decides that every morning from wind, zones and your level. AMARA is where you sleep and the place that keeps the practical side in one conversation. Tell us honestly where you stand — first lesson, back after years, or working on a specific skill — and we route the rest.

Three formats, one school. The first three days cost a little more than the days after; everything below is per person.
Semi-private course

How Mark teaches
Two students per instructor, no more — that is what we recommend, so I catch every mistake before it becomes a problem. And in offshore wind the boat is out.
While you ride you have a radio with you — so I give you the correction exactly when you need it, out on the water instead of afterwards on the beach. Many tell me that is what helped them most.
Course fit
Start with your real experience
A first water start needs a different lesson from confident riding or technique coaching. Tell us about previous lessons, the time since your last session and what you want to achieve.
The school then decides on format, number of days and the instructor with you. Nobody has to know that on day one.
On the day
Conditions decide where the lesson happens
Meeting point and time move with Levante, Poniente, tide, local zoning and safety guidance. Keep the course window flexible until the school confirms the session.

Safety
What rescue means here
On days with offshore wind, the club runs a rescue boat for its booked courses, camps and Help 2 Kite. That is a service the club includes, not a guarantee, and it does not apply to pure gear rental.
